The moment he saw this picture, he asked me, “The man in front or the one behind?” I replied, “The one in front.” Dude just burst out laughing, so hard he nearly fell.
After showing him one more picture of Tinubu and only one video with his shaking hands very evident, he paused and asked me, “Can he win?” I replied, “Of course he can, because in Nigeria, anything can happen, and many things defy logic.” He became sober. He wasn’t laughing now. I think in that moment he was actually feeling sorry for me. And then to give his mood life, he asked me, “What is wrong with Nigerians?”
My response was simple: tribal sentiments, religious sentiments, self-centeredness. That is what is wrong with Nigerians. That is the only reason this man who is clearly not fit, nor has any real plans for the country stands a chance of becoming president. He believes it is his turn, in fact he says it is his turn, and sadly there are many who agree with him.
