Every being is an idol somewhere and you need to believe in yourself that you are one. Unless you’ve screwed up so badly that no one wants to have anything to do with you, and I can bet that’s not you, I bring you the good news that, to your disappointment, you’re someone’s idol, somewhere, somehow. And you don’t need to know who or where for it to be true of you.
There is a reason God didn’t make it possible for us to know how much we mean to people and the high esteem to which they hold us. It will make us prouder than we need to be for healthy living and meaningful coexistence.
But in case you are wondering whether you mean much to people or not, this is OUK saying to you: You are definitely someone’s idol. You are lucky if you know the person or people who adore you, but not knowing them wouldn’t mean they don’t exist.
